Will someone please break down what I need for offshore fishing?
I've asked away all my points wanting answers and I get the same thing, " be more pacific" . I'm just doing " general fishing" for " what ever" I can reel in out on a boat that my buddy owns. I have many rods with lots of reels and I just don't know what " lb test line" to put on them and what " baits" . Like I said, " general fishing" so if you know how to catch " certain fish" , then tell me how to catch them " certain fish" and that's what I'll fish for.

Which is better inshore fishing or offshore fishing in North Carolina?
I want to move to North Carolina for the warm weather. More importantly for a great place to do a LOT of fishing. I've grown up fishing michigans inland lakes for largemouth and smallmouth bass, pike, walleye and panfish. I want to be located near the majority of the BEST of the BEST inland fishing waters in North Carolina but at the same I'd love to utilize the coastal waters for its variety of species.It would make the most sense for me to live right on the coast but I'm hesitant to live to close to the coast because I'd like to avoid hurricanes, tropical storms, and too much rain.Can anyone tell me about their experience living in North Carolina? Where should I move for awesome freshwater fishing in NC? How much should I be concerned about hurricanes tropical storms and rain if I were living on the coast? Would I be better off moving somewhere on the central to eastern part of the state?

IM only 16 and i do alot of deepsea fishing with my dad but i only have one reel for it. shimano spheros 12000FA Now i want a baitcasting reel like my dads that can take on big snapper and im starting to get into catfishing and going for alligator gar so i kinda want it to be able to take those on also. thanks for the help.

What is a good saltwater rod for offshore fishing in Dana Point California?
What is a good saltwater rod to setup with a baitcasting reel. I plan on doing some charter boat fishing. I want a rod thats affordable but thick and strong and sturdy. Id like the closest thing to an all purpose saltwater rod that can handle calico bass to yellowfin tuna, live baitin and iron jigging. Able to hold heavy 12 plus oz. lures for deep waters. I think you get the picture by now. Any recommendations will help.

Offshore fishing on eastern coast of Florida, what do i need?
I will be taking a few fishing trips off the eastern coast of Florida, near Vero Beach and Fort Pierce. I haven't fished in quite a while, and I am curious what kind of rod and reel will I need? What bait or lures should I be using? and what can I expect to catch out there. I would prefer to purchase a rod and reel that I can also use to fish in the river around here too, is that possible? or are most rods and reels meant for either offshore or river, not both.
