I need a strike indicator for fly fishing, what kind should i get?
Im looking for a strike indicator, ive heard them referred to as a few other things but if this isnt the term used in your region of the USA then its the thing thats usually used in nymph fishing to show where your at in the water and when a fish takes your fly. Ive seen putties, and yarns, and something that looks like a ping pong ball. Ive heard some are better then others but i havent ever done much nymph fishing so i dont know much about it. Any help in telling which is which and what the pros and cons of each are would be of great help, thank you

Hi i love to catch blue fish and stripers off the fishing pier and i live in staten island and the bait i usually use for bass and blue fish are bunker & peanut bunker.But i was wondering if someone can tell me a bait that works alot better then bunker.Because they jsut havent been going for my bunkers anymore.So if anyone knows please tell me the better bait. I need help choosing some bass lures for strippit fishing?
Hi, I'm new to bass fishing, and am not sure what to get as far as lures go. The strip pit we own is huge. It has been around since the 1930's, so the fish in it are quite big. It is at most 60 feet deep, and the water clarity is stained. There is also lots of weeds and debris in the water. I usually enjoy fishing with a 1 4 oz jig head with a 4 inch grub, but this doesn't always work. So I need some more variety. What should I get? I'm not sure about size, color, type, etc. Ithink bright colors work best in stained murky water? I like soft plastics best. I'm also stuck on what rod reel combo I should get. I'm thinking a Zebco 33. Any suggestions? Please help...Largemouth bass.

My cousin borrowed my rod for the summer when I went to California for a program. When I came back I had found that he had been fishing in the surf with it but had not properly washed it and soaked it in water after every trip. Now the reel won't turn when I try. Is there something I can do to fix it or is it a total loss?It is a spinning reel.I have tried soaking it but it didn't work. If I were to disassemble it, how would the process to clean it?

Fishing in ocean off pier or beach: does it matter if high/low tide?
i want to try fishing in ocean, down at gulfport mississippi,, but i have NO experience with it,, does it matter if the tide is high or low? what is best time of day? How can you tell if there are fish in a stream?
There is this stream by my house that is murky and brown. It is pretty wide but I don't know if there are any fish in there and I don't want to waist my time fishing there if there are no fish.
