Pflueger fishing reels?
I have a Pflueger underspin fishing reel and when reeling in you have to keep tension on the line to reel the bait or lure in. If you don't then you're just reelin and the line doesn't come in at all.I wanted to know if this is supposed to happen?
Which company makes the best fishing reel?
I know of the major manufacturers, shimano, daiwa, ABU Garcia... Do any of them make a good quality reel at a decent price? Also, who makes a good rod? Are there any German manufactured rods or reels?
How do you replace fishing line on an Abumatic model 120 or model 170 fishing reel?
I have no paperwork for either model that instructs you how to change the fishing line. I've seen schematics for the model 170 but no instructions for either model. These are the '60 '70's vintage reels. Thank you.

How do you mount a nylon on a fishing reel ?
I got an old fishing reel and i want to replace it with a new one.The only issue is that i don't know how to mount the nylon on the fishing reel .Can you write it how to do that ?Do i have to make a knot or something ?Also.Is it possible to use the reel to mount the nylon , or you have to do it manually with your hands ?

I recently purchased a Bluefin GC 5000 series reel from Costco on clearance for $50 costco.ca Browse Product.aspx?Prodid 10337705 as to buy it online it's $125 $155 so it seemed like a great deal. It holds 500 yards of 8lb test and seems very high quality. I wonder now if it's useful to me though since I don't own a boat. I want to start fishing again regularly and am comfortable having two or three rods and reels if they each have uses. So I will keep this if it will be more useful than a general purpose rod and reel in certain situations I might encounter freshwater, without a boat .So will this be useful at all to me fishing in freshwater? I figure it might be good for salmon fishing at a dam, maybe carp or catfish, or am I misjudging this? What should I use this for basically?
